Bilal A. Baz

Bilal A. BAZ, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Holcim since February 2021, after progressing from the role of Research and Development Engineer. Prior experience includes a position as a Researcher and PhD Candidate at IMT Lille Douai from October 2017 to November 2020, where the thesis focused on the structural reinforcement of 3D printed concrete elements. Bilal led a research campaign in collaboration with CSTB during a short tenure as a Researcher in June 2019. Additionally, Bilal gained practical experience as a Trainee at Dar Al-Handasah (Shair and Partners) in 2016, working on various structural elements. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Civil Engineering from IMT Nord Europe, an MSc from the University of Balamand, and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the same institution.
