Charl Marais

Charl Marais, P.E. has extensive experience in the construction and engineering sectors, currently serving as the General Manager of Asphalt & Contracting at Holcim since June 2003. Previously, Charl has held various management roles within Aggregate Industries, including Operations Manager for both the Asphalt and Construction & Paving divisions and Performance Improvement and Technical Services Manager in the Mid Atlantic Region. Charl's earlier career includes a position as Technical Manager at the Cement and Concrete Institute of South Africa and Civil Structural Engineer at BKS Consulting Engineers. Educational qualifications include a B.Ing in Civil Engineering and an M.Ing in Structural Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, and an MBL in General Management from the University of South Africa.
