Miriam Avendaño

Miriam Avendaño is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in procurement and performance management. Currently serving as the Global Procurement Performance Manager at Holcim since January 2005, Miriam has effectively collaborated with diverse teams to enhance procurement processes, implement global tools for initiative tracking, supplier relationship management, and risk identification. The career progression includes roles such as Senior Performance Manager and Senior Category Manager, where Miriam led cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and align procurement strategies with global objectives. Prior to Holcim, Miriam held key positions at APASCO SA and Telcel, focusing on purchasing coordination and project management, respectively. Academic qualifications include an MBA from the University of Kent and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, alongside a Project Management certification.
