Sustainability Committee Chair at Holden Forests & Gardens

Rebecca Thompson has over two decades of experience in the field of education and sustainability, currently serving as the Sustainability Committee Chair at Holden Forests & Gardens since November 1999. In this role, Rebecca advocates for sustainable practices and guides initiatives to meet environmental goals. As Education Manager at Holden Arboretum, Rebecca oversees instructional approaches and manages curricula for educational programs. Previous positions include Manager of Academic Programs, where Rebecca developed and monitored the quality of formal education initiatives, and GSS Program Coordinator, responsible for the Growing Students in Science Program. Rebecca also held the role of Blackbrook President at Audubon from 2007 to 2010 and worked as a Nature Educator at Nature's Classroom. Educationally, Rebecca earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, specializing in Botany/Plant Biology, from Kent State University.
