Kirk Baruth

Kirk Baruth is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in internal communications management. Currently serving as the Manager of Internal Communications at Holland America Line since July 2011, Kirk oversees the corporate intranet, HomePort, while directly reporting to the Vice President of Public Relations. Prior to this, Kirk held positions such as Communications Manager at the University of Iowa, where communication strategies were developed for the Office of the Chief Information Officer, and at EMBARQ, providing internal communications support for the chief operating officer. Additional experience includes communications roles at Sprint Nextel, where Kirk managed publications for a large employee base, and as Lead Editor at HomeStyles Publishing and Marketing, overseeing editorial content within the home design industry. Kirk holds a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in History and Government from Sterling College.
