Deryk Beal

Deryk Beal is an accomplished academic and clinician with extensive experience in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and Neuroscience. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto and a Senior Scientist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Deryk Beal has held various significant positions, including Executive Director of the Institute for Stuttering Treatment and Research at the University of Alberta and Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston University. Deryk Beal's research expertise encompasses advanced neuroimaging techniques, having designed and conducted studies utilizing functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) to explore auditory feedback in speech production. Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital. Our vision is to create a world of possibility for kids with disability.
