Ramesh Gupta is a prominent figure in the field of magnet science, serving as the Head of the Magnet Science Group and Senior Scientist in the Superconducting Magnet Division at Brookhaven National Laboratory since March 1984. With extensive experience in superconducting and other magnets, Ramesh Gupta has contributed significantly to the design of magnets for major projects such as the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and the main dipole of the Superconducting Super Collider (SSC). Ramesh Gupta holds a PhD in Superconducting Magnets from the University of Rajasthan, along with a Master of Science in Accelerator Physics from the University of Manitoba, a Master of Science in High Energy Physics, and a Bachelor of Science, all from the University of Rajasthan, in addition to training from the BARC Training School.
