Julia Hanigsberg

Julia Hanigsberg is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as a Board Member at OECM since October 2023, Julia has been the President & CEO of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital since January 2015, where Julia also holds positions as Member of the Board of Trustees and Board Member of the Foundation. Julia’s contributions extend to various organizations, including Vice Chair of the Ontario Hospital Association, Chair of the Board of Directors for Children's Healthcare Canada, and Board Member roles at Solutions for Kids in Pain, Kids Health Alliance, and the Provincial Council for Maternal and Child Health. Julia's previous leadership includes Chair of the Board of Directors at the Council of Academic Hospitals of Ontario and Board Member at Kids Brain Health Network. Julia holds multiple degrees, including a BCL/LLB in Law from McGill University and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, complemented by various professional development programs in governance and finance.

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital. Our vision is to create a world of possibility for kids with disability. We pioneer treatments, technologies, therapies and real-world programs that give children with disabilities the tools to participate fully in life. Holland Bloorview serves about 7,000 children each year, with about 600 inpatient admissions and 52,000 outpatient visits. Holland Bloorview is a world-class teaching hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. We train future health-care specialists in the field of childhood disability. The Bloorview Research Institute is located onsite, allowing us to integrate cutting-edge research and teaching with frontline care to improve children’s quality of life.
