Russell Stevener started their work experience as a Math Teacher at Camden Central Schools in 2007 and worked there until 2012. In 2013, they joined Holland Patent Central Schools as a High School Principal, where they are responsible for helping teachers and students grow and ensuring that all students are College and Career Ready before graduation.
Russell Stevener obtained a Master's degree in School and District Leadership from Utica College, where they studied from 2004 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville, which they completed from 2002 to 2004.
