Edward Paul

Edward Paul has extensive experience in the insurance industry, having held various roles throughout their career. Edward started their career in 1996 at Deloitte South Africa, where they worked as a Consulting Actuary in General Insurance until 2003. Edward then moved on to Mutual & Federal, where they served as Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer for over 10 years. In 2014, they joined Absa Group as the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Actuary, Wealth Investment Management & Insurance, a position they held until 2019. Currently, Edward is the Chief Risk Officer at The Hollard Insurance Company Australia, a role they have held since October 2019.

Edward Paul is a Fellow of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries. Edward also holds a CFA designation from the CFA Institute. Their undergraduate education includes a B.Sc (Hons) in Actuarial Science from the University of the Witwatersrand and a B.Sc. in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Johannesburg.
