Sindy Madrid-Torres

Sindy Madrid-Torres, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of data strategy, data governance, data management, and business intelligence. Sindy has held positions with companies such as Hollard Insurance Australia, MLC Life Insurance, Telefonica Chile, and AIG, where they were responsible for leading teams, designing data architectures, and implementing data warehouses. In addition, Sindy has experience in teaching and conducting research on information governance during their time as a lecturer and PhD candidate at Monash University. Sindy has a deep understanding of how large organizations manage and structure their information environments. Sindy Madrid-Torres, PhD, has an extensive education history. Sindy received their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Information Technology from Monash University, which spanned from 2011 to 2016. Prior to this, they completed a Master's degree in Business Information Systems at Monash University from 2009 to 2010. In 2008, they obtained a Diploma in CRM from Universidad de Chile. Sindy's undergraduate studies took place at Universidad de Ciencias de la Informática, where they earned a degree in Information Technology as an Ingeniero de Ejecución en Informatica from 2001 to 2005. Furthermore, they hold a Bachelor's degree in Education, specializing in English, from Universidad de Concepción, which they completed from 1992 to 1997. Sindy has also obtained a certification as a Certified SAFe® 6 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in July 2023.
