Edgar Evans

Edgar Evans has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Edgar worked at Hollard Insurance from 2016 onwards, where they held several roles including Head of Retail Partnerships, Chief Distribution Officer, Head of Retail & Banks, and Senior Manager in the Partner Channel. Prior to joining Hollard Insurance, Edgar worked at Edcon from 1997 to 2016, where they served as an Executive Manager of Financial Services and was responsible for developing and implementing the group's financial services strategy. Edgar began their career at Ernst & Young in 1990 as a Senior Audit Manager.

Edgar Evans graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting in 1988. Edgar went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree in Accounting in 1989. In 1990, they obtained the CA(SA) certification from the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants. Edgar then pursued a Master of Commerce (MCom) degree in Business Management from the University of Johannesburg, which they completed in 1998.
