Michael Pecoraro

Michael Pecoraro, is Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer at Hollis Park Partners. He has over 25 years of global markets experience on the buy-side covering the following financial instruments: fixed income, equity, derivative and private equity securities. Michael has held many senior roles in the asset management industry including serving as Chief Investment Officer at JP Morgan Asset Management; leading a team of over 40 investment professionals and managing over $300 billion in securities. At JP Morgan Asset Management, Michael was also Head of Liquid Markets where he has oversight of the interest rate strategy team, macro team, agency debt team, mortgage sector team, and volatility team; managing over 20 professionals. Prior to managing Liquid Markets, he was the Portfolio Manager and Head of the Mortgage Sector Team. During his tenure, he achieved top-decile performance through investments in mortgage-backed securities throughout fixed income portfolios (approximately $35 billion) for over 7 years. Michael was a Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of White Pine Investment Management, a New York-based hedge fund. He has strong understanding of global macroeconomic trends, risk-management techniques, and a quantitative approach to problem solving. Most recently, Michael lead a team responsible for managing credit risk to financial institutions (hedge funds, banks, securitized product facilities, insurance companies, etc.) at Barclays. Michael earned a BS in Management Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
