Merran McRae

Merran McRae is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in strategic leadership within the public sector and charitable organizations. Currently serving as Chair and Non-Executive Director at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust since January 2022, and a Board Trustee at Hollybank Trust, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and The Hepworth Wakefield, Merran has demonstrated a commitment to community service and development. Previously, Merran held the position of Chief Executive at Wakefield Council from June 2017 to September 2020, where strategic development was focused on enhancing services and fostering economic growth. Prior experience includes Chief Executive roles at Calderdale MBC and Aire Valley Homes, along with leadership positions in various councils and NHS trusts. Merran holds an MBA from Leeds University and a Post-Graduate Qualification in Housing Management from the Chartered Institute of Housing.
