Abraam Mikhael

Abraam A. A. Mikhael is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the Hollywood Arab Film Festival, a position held since September 2021. Previously, Mikhael served as the Chief Executive Officer of Neyrouz Studios, a film and video production company in Southern California, from December 2017 to November 2020. Mikhael holds a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Film and Television from Mount Saint Mary's University (2014-2019), a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Loma Linda University (2010-2014), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from California State University, Fullerton (2006-2010).

Hollywood Arab Film Association

Hollywood Arab Film Association - HAFA was founded in 2021 to take lead upon all the activities that enables bringing the Arab Cinema to the heart of Hollywood; thus launching the very first edition of Hollywood Arab Film Festival in April 2022. MISSION To promote inclusion and representation of North African and Arab filmmakers/artists in the American film and art industries by building their capacity through training, networking, and education. To promote cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue in the United States of America through the arts and cultural institutions, by connecting people and building a more cohesive and open society. VISION To create a central platform for Arab and North African artists and filmmakers to showcase their unique cultural identity, while also serving as a launch pad for their careers by strengthening their skills and widening their exposure to the world. To educate Western audiences on Arabic film culture and advocate for Arab filmmakers' work within the American industry.
