John Cord

John Cord has a diverse work experience. John started their career as a Microenterprise Intern at Iowans for Social & Economic Development (ISED Ventures) in January 2012. John then became a Statistician Trainee at USDA from May 2012 to May 2013. In 2013, they worked at Belmont University as an Athletics Marketing & External Affairs Intern from September to December, and also as an Assistant Track and Field Coach. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Marketing Analyst at Franklin American Mortgage Company. John then joined Kum & Go as a Quantitative Analyst from April 2015 to May 2017. Currently, they are working at Holmes Murphy & Associates. Their roles at the company include Software Systems Analyst III from May 2017 to January 2021, Surety Analyst/Account Executive from January 2021 to January 2023, and currently serving as a Client Executive, Surety starting from January 2023.

John Cord completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Simpson College, from 2009 to 2013. John later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Iowa, from 2019 to 2022.
