Chief Operating Officer, Property Casualty at Holmes Murphy

Teri Sporer has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Teri began their career in 1986 as the Director of Personnel at The Western Home. In 1990, they joined Cannon Cochran Management Services, Inc. as a Sales Manager, where they managed group self-insurance programs and worked with a sales team to ensure successful management of clients. In 1999, they joined Innovative Captive Strategies as a Vice President, responsible for educating potential clients, growing existing captives, and forming new captive insurance companies. Teri also oversaw the operations of captive insurance companies and worked with various departments within ICS. In 2009, Teri became the President of Creative Risk Solutions, where they served until 2017. During this time, they focused on leading and guiding the company. In 2017, they took on the role of Chief Operating Officer, Property Casualty at Holmes Murphy & Associates, overseeing financial responsibility, customer retention, client satisfaction, and overall profitability for the property casualty division. Throughout their career, Teri has held various leadership roles within the Holmes Murphy enterprise.

Teri Sporer's education history begins in 1979 when they attended Ottumwa High School, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. After graduating from high school, they went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa from 1981 to 1987. At the university, Teri earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management with a specialization in Human Resources.
