Muthu Kasiraja

Muthu Kasiraja is currently serving as a Structural Analyst and FEA Engineer at Holtec International, focusing on structural hand calculations and finite element analysis models for spent nuclear fuel storage structures using ANSYS and LS DYNA. Prior experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant and Grader at Cornell Engineering, where grading and running labs for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering courses were primary responsibilities. As a Graduate Researcher at Cornell Space Structures Lab, Muthu designed deployable booms for space applications and analyzed composite shell structures with Abaqus CAE. An internship at Tesla involved developing Finite Element models and performing vibration analysis for automotive subsystems, while earlier work as an Undergraduate Researcher at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli included designing assistive devices for paraplegia patients. Muthu holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Technology in Production Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
