Jim Kreher has extensive experience in the fire service and leadership roles within various organizations. Jim Kreher served as President and Past President of the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance since December 2011, and has held the position of Fire Chief and Deputy Chief at the Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District from November 2013 until retirement. Additional roles include leading as Past President of the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association and serving as Deacon at Holy Cross Lutheran Church since May 2021. Jim Kreher accumulated significant experience at Fox River Grove Fire Department from October 1978 to October 2019, serving as Deputy Chief, and also held the presidency at McHenry County Fire Chiefs Association from May 2008 to May 2012. Prior to a long career in firefighting, Jim Kreher worked as a Systems Technician at AT&T from March 1979 to July 2009.
