Eric Nelson

VP for Finance & Administration, Chief Financial Officer at Holy Family University

As Chief Financial Officer, Eric is responsible for fiscal management, planning and budgeting, purchasing and accounts payables, business office, auxiliary services, human resources, facilities management, and maintenance.

Mr. Nelson has a Master of Business Administration from Baker College in Flint, MI. He began his tenure at Holy Family University in May 2019. Before joining the University, he served as Vice President for Finance and Treasure of Arcadia University for approximately four years. Before Arcadia, he served as the Vice President for Finance and Administration at Misericordia University located in Dallas Pennsylvania for approximately four years. Mr. Nelson was also the Vice President for Finance at Wesley College located in Dover Delaware for approximately 14 years. Mr. Nelson has over 30 years of experience in higher education and commercial banking finance administration.

He has served several institutions during their capital campaigns. His role during the campaigns was that of being a member of the senior staff and also as a board member of several non-for-profit entities.

Mr. Nelson is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and the College and University Personnel Association (CUPA). He has served on several boards of non-for-profit organizations. He represents Arcadia with the Philadelphia Area Chamber of Commerce and is a Board Member of the Cheltenham Police Athletic League and Montgomery County (Pennsylvania) Economic Development Council. He serves as a consultant to several colleges and universities on finance and financial aid matters.

Mr. Nelson is a resident of Milton Delaware. He enjoys cooking, antiquing, gardening and bike riding.
