Duminda Illangarathna has a diverse and extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Duminda began their career as an F&B Server & Barman at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts from 1999 to 2001. Duminda then worked as an F&B Sales executive at Earl's Regency Hotel from 2001 to 2002. After that, Duminda served as a Senior Captain at One&Only Resorts from 2002 to 2006, where they managed the operations and team members of a fine dining restaurant. Duminda then took on the role of Restaurant Manager at Dine-more Restaurant from 2006 to 2008, handling menu and concept development. Duminda's next position was as an Area Operations Manager at Bateel International from 2008 to 2016, where they oversaw the operations of Cafe Bateel in UAE and Oman. Currently, Duminda holds the position of Director of Operations at Home Bakery, starting in 2017. Overall, Duminda has demonstrated expertise in restaurant management, operations, team development, and menu planning throughout their career.

Simple Indulgence delivered across the Middle East since 2011 Home Bakery was born out of a natural love of baking and a passion for how the simple act of eating dessert makes people feel. The story originated in a home kitchen by founder Hind Al Mulla, who took great pleasure from providing happiness to her customers through her food. Home Bakery soon expanded largely through a craze of social media followers which soon built up an undisputed reputation for her irresistable desserts. The business began to develop and popularity grew quickly, purely down to the creativety, beauty and taste of the products. A loyal established customer base was formed and a barrage of new enquiries flooded in from the surrounding areas, which led to demand calling for a larger supply. The small home grown company was ready to be formed in to a brand and the Home Bakery story evolved in to a commerical business, resulting in their flagship store in Dubai opening in 2014
