Director of Human Resources at Home Forward

Aimee Smith has extensive work experience in human resources, spanning multiple roles and companies. Aimee most recently worked as the Director of Human Resources at Home Forward starting in November 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Human Resources Manager at Home Forward from April 2019 to November 2019.

Before joining Home Forward, Aimee worked at Multnomah County from 2015 to 2019. During their time there, they held the position of Senior Human Resources Analyst from August 2015 to April 2019, and Human Resources Analyst II from January 2015 to August 2015.

From 2011 to 2015, Aimee worked at PPCW as the Human Resources Manager/Organizational Effectiveness Manager.

From 2007 to 2011, they worked at Multnomah County as a Technology Trainer & HR Assistant.

Aimee's early work experience includes a role as a Reagent Sales Representative at TCI America from 2005 to 2007, and as an Assistant Customer Service Manager at GI Joes from 2000 to 2004. At GI Joes, they supported the Customer Service Manager, trained new cashiers, managed Ticketmaster & Fish and Wildlife services, balanced sales totals and cash, performed merchandising duties, and acted as a barista for Java Joe's.

Aimee Smith started their education at Mt. Hood Community College in 1999 and obtained an Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer Degree (AAOT) in General Studies by the year 2001. Aimee then pursued their bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology and Psychology at the University of Oregon from 2001 to 2003. Continuing their education, Aimee then attended Eastern Oregon University from 2006 to 2008, studying Leadership, Organization, and Management, for which they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Additionally, in July 2012, Aimee obtained a certification in the Center for Creative Leadership's 360 Assessment Tools.
