Bharat Pokhrel

Bharat Pokhrel, PhD has a strong background in analytics and risk management. Bharat has held various positions in reputable companies throughout their career. From 1996 to 1998, they worked as the AVP of Business Planning & Analysis at Citibank Cards. In 1998, they joined American Express as a Manager of Credit Risk. From 2000 to 2005, Bharat worked as the Senior Manager of Credit Risk Management at Hudson's Bay. Bharat then moved to HSBC, where they served as a Senior Manager of Credit Risk from 2005 to 2007. In 2008, they joined Scotiabank International as a Senior Manager of Credit Risk until 2009. Bharat's most recent role was in Home Trust Company, where they started as the AVP of Risk Analytics in 2009 and later became the Vice-President of Analytics and Risk in 2015.

Bharat Pokhrel, PhD completed their education in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Bharat pursued a Ph.D. in Economics from 1989 to 2005.
