Kendal Newman

Kendal Newman has extensive experience in information technology and security roles. Kendal is currently the Director of Information Technology at DNA Diagnostics Center. Prior to this, Kendal worked as an Independent Consultant and Chief Security Officer at CorIT Security, where they were responsible for coordinating and managing security enhancements, leading project management efforts, and overseeing infrastructure projects. Before that, they held the position of VP, Infrastructure and Security at Projetech, where they provided leadership in developing business strategy, led efforts for ISO 27001 certification, and initiated a DevOps team. Kendal also served as the Manager of Network and Security at Health Carousel, where they provided leadership and technical support for IT projects and network redesign. Kendal held the role of Sr. Director Operations and Sr. Security Manager at CenterGrid, where they led various projects, reorganized the operations team, and developed the company's security practice. Kendal's early experience includes roles at Paycor, where they served as Sr. Manager Technical Services and Sr. Network Engineer, managing infrastructure, security, and application deployment for a wide range of clients.

Kendal Newman pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2006 to 2010, Kendal attended Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Engineering. Following this, Kendal enrolled at Utica University from 2017 to 2020, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. During their time at Utica University, Kendal focused on Criminology with a specialization in Cyber Operations and Network Forensic Intrusion Investigation. Furthermore, in September 2019, Kendal obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)².
