Alex Kwan

Alex Kwan has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. They began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at UC Davis in 2011. In 2011, they also started working at L-3 Communications as an RF Design Engineer, where they were responsible for research and development, vendor management, production support, and quality assurance.

In 2014, Alex joined Accenture as a Digital Business Integration Consultant. They were recognized for their top performance and were promoted twice in less than two years. At Accenture, they provided professional technology/strategy consulting services to improve client efficiency and productivity.

In 2016, they took on the role of a Data Engineer & Analytics Consultant at Slalom, helping clients with data engineering and analytics projects. They also started working as an Adjunct Faculty member at Foothill-De Anza Community College District in the same year.

From 2019 onwards, Alex worked at HomeLight, initially as a Senior Data Engineer, then as a Data Engineering Manager, and later as a Senior Data Engineering Manager. Finally, in 2022, they assumed the position of Director of Engineering at HomeLight.

Alex Kwan completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, from 2009 to 2011. Before that, from 2007 to 2009, Alex attended Sacramento City College, where they studied Electrical Engineering. Later, Alex pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Alex obtained certifications including the SnowPro Core Certification from Snowflake in April 2019, and the Alteryx Certified Professional certification from Alteryx in March 2017.
