Nicola Battey

Nicola Battey has a diverse background in product management and design. Nicola is currently the Director of Product at Hometree since 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded My Mini Maker in 2020. From 2019 to 2022, Nicola worked at OVO Energy as the Product Lead - Smart Home. Nicola also held various roles at Hive | Centrica Hive Limited, including Head of Product and Global Product Lead, where they developed products and features for home control systems. Before joining the energy industry, Nicola worked as a Knowledge Exchange Associate at Imperial College London, where they focused on disseminating energy research and knowledge. Nicola began their career as a Research Engineer at Buro Happold, specializing in sustainability and inclusive design. Nicola's early work experience includes a role as a Junior Designer at Paper Dog Ltd, where they managed design projects and maintained client relationships.

Nicola Battey earned a BSc in Industrial Design from Brunel University London from 2004 to 2008. Nicola then pursued an EngD in Environmental Technology at the same university from 2008 to 2012. In 2015, they obtained the certification of CEng from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
