Melissa Gelormini

Melissa Gelormini joined Homology shortly after the Company’s launch in 2016 and has led the rapid growth of Homology from 23 to 198 employees over 4 years. Under her leadership, Ms. Gelormini established the Human Resources function, including implementing initiatives to attract and retain top talent, creating pathways for career development and promoting health and well-being programs that benefit employees. She brings more than 20 years of human resource expertise, primarily in small startup and emerging biotech organizations. Prior to joining Homology, Ms. Gelormini held several human resources roles with increasing responsibility and in a variety of industries including retail, high tech, healthcare and biotech, at companies such as Inspiration Biopharmaceuticals and Akebia Therapeutics.

Ms. Gelormini has experience in all aspects of Human Resources including recruitment, organization development and leadership, employee relations, and compensation and benefits. She has a proven ability to partner with teams across the company to drive organizational initiatives and to create and maintain a productive and exciting company culture. Adept at building organizations from inception, she helps managers develop teams that are effective and scalable to meet the needs of a fast-paced, innovative environment. Ms. Gelormini holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and continues to hone her human resources expertise through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
