Faizan M. Tariq

Faizan M. Tariq is a Research Scientist at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc. since August 2023, focusing on the development of technologies for interactive multi-agent systems in mobility platforms. Previously, Faizan served as a Research Intern at the same institute from January to May 2023, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland from August 2020 to January 2022. Prior experience includes a Research Intern position at ABB Future Labs, where Faizan worked on deep reinforcement learning algorithms, and roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, teaching various engineering courses. Earlier internships involved leading R&D projects at Arçelik A.Ş. and assisting in engineering tasks at GE Grid Solutions. Faizan holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland and a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
