Soshi Iba

Soshi Iba is a highly experienced professional in the field of robotics, currently serving as Chief Engineer at Honda R&D Co., Ltd. since October 2004, where involvement focuses on humanoid robot research. Additionally, Iba has held the position of Principal Scientist at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc. since March 2017, leading robotics initiatives. Prior experience includes a role as Research Assistant at The Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University from 1996 to 2004, and a visiting research scholar position at the Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo in 1999. Iba holds a PhD in Robotics, an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, all from Carnegie Mellon University, along with an academic background from Singapore American School.
