Teruhisa Misu

Teruhisa Misu is a Chief Scientist at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc. since April 2013, leading a team focused on human-centered intelligence and human-machine interaction in (semi-)automated systems, including multi-modal data analysis for human state understanding. Prior to this role, Teruhisa served as an Expert Researcher at NICT from April 2008 to March 2013 and was a Visiting Researcher at USC Institute for Creative Technologies from November 2011 to February 2012. Teruhisa also held the position of Research Fellow (DC1) at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science from April 2005 to March 2008. Teruhisa earned a Ph.D. in Informatics from Kyoto University, completing studies from 1999 to 2008.
