Mehrdad Peyvandi

Mehrdad Peyvandi, MS. PE., currently serves as a Senior Protection and Control Engineer at American Electric Power since November 2023, and has been with American Honda Motor Company, Inc. as a Project Manager and Electrical Engineer since September 2015. Prior experience includes roles as Project Manager and Electrical Engineer at ASC Process Systems, where electrical systems for aerospace standards were designed and upgraded, and as a Design Engineer at High Voltage Inc., focusing on high voltage test instruments. Additional positions include teaching assistant at SUNY New Paltz for an Electric Power Systems course, and various electrical engineering roles at organizations such as Panasonic USA and Praxair. Peyvandi holds a Master’s of Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from SUNY New Paltz, along with dual Associate degrees in Engineering Science and Mathematics and Social Science from Orange County Community College.
