Zach Mank

Director Of Engineering at Honeybee Robotics

Zach Mank has a strong engineering background with experience in various roles. Zach started their career at Vizyontech Imaging, Inc. as a Product Engineering Intern in 2012. In 2014, they worked as an Engineering/R&D Intern at Tenex Health. After that, they joined Medtronic as an R&D Development Engineer I and also worked as a Design Engineer Intern.

Since 2015, Zach has been working at Honeybee Robotics. Zach started as a Mechanical Engineer and later became a Project Engineer, leading multiple R&D contracts and providing design and test support for flight contracts. Zach also pioneered on-campus recruiting for Honeybee at USC. Later, they held the role of System Engineer & Engineering Manager, where they managed a team of mechanical engineers and served as a Lead Systems Engineer for flight contracts. In their most recent role as the Director of Engineering, they led a 90+ person engineering department and drove the growth of Honeybee's Exploration Technology business unit.

Throughout their career, Zach has demonstrated strong leadership skills, including managing large teams, implementing career development programs, and coordinating intern and co-op programs. Zach has also contributed to the growth and success of the organizations they have worked for through recruitment, resource tracking, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Zach Mank completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering with a Mechanical Emphasis at the University of Southern California in the years 2011 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering with a Devices Focus at the same university from 2014 to 2015.
