Michael Bates

Michael Bates, Ph.D., is a Principal UX Researcher currently at HoneyBook, where they lead strategic research initiatives aimed at enhancing customer loyalty. Previously, they held various roles at eBay, including Design Research Lead Manager, where they significantly contributed to product strategy and developed impactful research methodologies. As a co-founder and Vice President at Mosaic Network Inc., they played a critical role in user research and product design, impacting over 20,000 community organizations. In addition, Bates has experience as a User Experience Researcher at Facebook and has established a UX research practice at Panorama Education. They earned a Ph.D. in School and Child Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Dartmouth College.
