Katherine Carpenter has worked in a variety of legal and research positions in the healthcare industry. Katherine began their career as a research associate in the Bioethics department at Seattle Children's, where they worked for four years. Katherine then became a member of the Institutional Review Board at the University of Washington, where they served for two years. In 2012, they took a position as legal affairs associate at Children's Hospital Colorado, where they worked on implementing state and federal policies. In 2013, they took a summer project with the World Health Organization designing a research study to measure drowning deaths. After that, they became a consultant, working on project-based assignments. In their current role as CFO at HoneyNet, they are responsible for the financial management of the company.

Katherine Carpenter studied sociology as an undergraduate at Columbia University. Katherine then completed a Master's in International Studies at the University of Denver Josef Korbel School. After working for a few years, they decided to go to law school and obtained their JD from the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law. Katherine is also certified as a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Katherine Carpenter reports to Ali Ikinci, CEO. They are on a team with Dave Dittrich - Chief Ethics & Legal Officer, Andrea De Pasquale - Chief Infrastructure Officer, and Leon Van Der Eijk - Chief Public Relations Officer.
