Miguel Raúl Bautista Soria has a diverse work experience. Miguel Raúl started their career at Unidad de Servicios de Cómputo Académico in 2009, where they worked as an Administrator of UNIX Systems for two years. In 2011, they joined SSI/UNAM-CERT as an Analyst of Traffic and Intrusion Detection, and later became the Responsible for the Intrusion Detection and Honeypot Technologies area. In 2014, Miguel took on the role of Infrastructure Engineer at Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación for a brief period. Miguel Raúl then moved to The Honeynet Project in 2012, where they became the Chief Workshop Officer and worked on deploying Honeypots, IDS, IPS with open source tools, as well as data visualization and sharing. Miguel's most recent experience is with Cisco, where they started as a Customer Support Engineer II in 2015 and currently holds the position of Security Researcher at Talos.
Miguel Raúl Bautista Soria completed their education at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2006 to 2011. Miguel Raúl earned a degree in Ingeniero en Computación with a focus on Redes y Seguridad (Networks and Security).
In addition to their degree, Miguel Raúl Bautista Soria has obtained several certifications. In May 2013, they obtained the GCFW certification from GIAC. In the same month, they also acquired the GIAC Certified Perimeter Protection Analyst (GPPA) certification from GIAC. Furthermore, in September 2012, they obtained the SFCP certification from SourceFire.
