Timothy Man Kong Wong

Timothy Man Kong Wong is an experienced academic currently serving as Director of the Academy of Chinese, History, Religion and Philosophy and Professor of History at Hong Kong Baptist University, where tenure extends from September 1997 to the present. Additional roles include Associate Dean of Social Sciences (Development) and Editor for the journal Medical History at Cambridge University Press & Assessment since January 2023. Timothy also holds an Associate Member position at the Centre for Port Cities and Maritime Cultures at the University of Portsmouth and serves as an Honorary Research Senior Fellow in History at the University of Queensland. Previous academic engagements include visiting positions at the University of Cambridge and the University of Victoria. Timothy obtained a Master of Philosophy and a Doctor of Philosophy in History from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
