David Owens

Chief Medical Officer at Hong Kong China Rugby

David Owens has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. David started their career as a Founding Partner at OT&P Healthcare in 1994. In 2011, they joined the Hong Kong Rugby Union as the Chief Medical Officer. Later, in 2015, they became the Chief Medical Officer at Asia Rugby until 2018. In 2019, they assumed the role of Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at The University of Hong Kong. Additionally, from 1999 to 2013, they served as an Honorary Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Medicine at the same university.

David Owens attended the University of Leeds from 1979 to 1984, where they studied Medicine. David obtained their MBchB degree from the University of Leeds in 1984. In 1992, they obtained the MRCGP certification from the Royal College of General Practitioners. In 1997, they obtained the FHKAM certification from the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. Then, in 2004, they obtained the Pg Dip SEM certification from the University of Bath.
