James Fang holds extensive experience in security architecture and cyber security across various high-profile organizations. Currently serving as Vice President of Security Architecture and Engineering at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited since June 2021, James is responsible for securing Asia's largest stock exchange and advancing its public cloud journey. Previous roles include Principal Cyber Security Architect at Standard Chartered Bank, where James developed security measures for a cloud-native digital bank, and Principal Global Security Architect at QBE Insurance, focusing on compliant cloud adoption. James has also led security efforts for Tyme Digital in South Africa and has held significant positions at Commonwealth Bank, overseeing security architecture for digital and retail banking channels. Earlier work at Microsoft involved critical infrastructure and security consulting. James holds an MBA from AGSM @ UNSW Business School, a Master's in Information Systems from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor's in Economics from Monash University.
