Raymond Chung Ching Cheng

Raymond Chung Ching Cheng started their work experience as the Chairman of HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng in 1997. In 2010, they became a Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), and later served as the President from 2020 to 2021. Raymond Chung Ching also held the role of Immediate Past President. Cheng was also the Chairman of the HKICPA Qualification Oversight Board starting from 2020. Additionally, they served as a Council Member of HLB International from 2011. Cheng was a Committee Member of The HKSAR Chief Executive Election Committee (Accountancy Subsector) from 2016 to 2021. Raymond Chung Ching held the position of Chairman of the Finance Committee and Council Member of the Examinations and Assessment Authority from 2015 to 2021. Cheng's roles outside of the HKICPA include serving as a Member of the Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal from 2015 to 2017 and as the Chair of the ETF and Member of the SMP Committee at the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) from 2015 to 2016. Lastly, they were the Deputy Chairman of the HKICPA Ethics Committee from 2014 to 2016. Currently, Cheng works as an Adjunct Professor at the City University of Hong Kong starting from February 2023.

Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA)

The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs is the only statutory body responsible for the registrations of accountancy professionals in Hong Kong. The Institute has more than 46,000 members and more than 19,000 registered students. Members of the Institute are entitled to the description certified public accountant and to the designatory letters CPA. The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs evolved from the Hong Kong Society of Accountants, which was established on 1 January 1973.
