Alfred Lam

Alfred Lam serves as the Research and Policy Director at the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA) since March 2014, where responsibilities include driving research initiatives and shaping policy within the venture capital and private equity landscape. Prior to this role, Alfred Lam worked as a Research Manager at AVCJ Group - Incisive Media from January 2006 to February 2014, focusing on the analysis of Asian private equity and venture capital markets. Earlier experience includes a position as Project Coordinator at Advanced Products Limited from May 2003 to August 2004. Alfred Lam holds an Executive MBA from CUHK Business School and a BA (Hons) in Money, Banking & Finance from the University of Stirling.

Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA)

Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association was established on November 12, 1987 with the objectives of promoting and protecting the interests of the venture capital industry in Hong Kong. The Association was formed based on a recommendation in the Working Party of the Hong Kong Association of Banks'​ study of venture capital and has been incorporated as a company limited by guarantee. HKVCA's mission is to stimulate a vibrant venture capital and private equity industry in Asia while promoting the role of member firms in value creation, innovation and economic development. HKVCA provides a forum for networking and experience sharing for its members; promotes industry professional ethics, international best practices and standards; and represents the views of its members before governmental and other relevant bodies.
