Rebecca Xu is a seasoned professional in the finance and investment sectors, currently serving as the Chairwoman of the Board at the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA) since September 2021. As a co-founder and Managing Director at Asia Alternatives Advisor Hong Kong Limited since February 2006, Rebecca has demonstrated significant leadership in the private equity space. Additional experience includes a role as Senior Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) from 1999 to 2006, and prior positions with McKinsey & Co. as a Consultant, and HSBC as a Credit Manager. Rebecca Xu holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in International Relations from China Foreign Affairs University.

Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA)

Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association was established on November 12, 1987 with the objectives of promoting and protecting the interests of the venture capital industry in Hong Kong. The Association was formed based on a recommendation in the Working Party of the Hong Kong Association of Banks'​ study of venture capital and has been incorporated as a company limited by guarantee. HKVCA's mission is to stimulate a vibrant venture capital and private equity industry in Asia while promoting the role of member firms in value creation, innovation and economic development. HKVCA provides a forum for networking and experience sharing for its members; promotes industry professional ethics, international best practices and standards; and represents the views of its members before governmental and other relevant bodies.
