Shazi Anwar

Shazi Anwar is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in branch management and strategic planning. Currently serving as General Manager of Branch Network, Strategy and Planning at Hong Leong Bank Berhad since February 2017, Shazi has previously held various leadership positions at Standard Chartered Bank for over a decade, where responsibilities included enhancing branch efficiency and customer experiences across multiple countries, as well as business development in West Africa. Earlier career roles at ANZ Grindlays Bank and HSBC encompassed branch management and relationship management for high-value clients. Shazi's educational background includes an Executive Program in General Management from MIT Sloan School of Management and corporate executive programs from prestigious institutions such as INSEAD and the University of Oxford.
