Blake Israel has held various positions in software engineering since 2004. From 2004 to 2005, they were a Software Engineering Intern at SSAI, where they developed tools that ensured efficient continuous process improvement and worked on critical aircraft systems for field deployment. From 2005 to 2006, they were a Computer Science Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they taught sessions of CS 1315 and created and executed engaging lesson plans. From 2006 to 2007, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they designed and initiated implementation of an interactive kiosk system. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Software Engineer III at FactSet Research Systems, where they developed front-end application frameworks in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, maintained and updated frameworks, and worked on server-side code in C++. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Senior Front End Engineer at AdaptiveBlue, where they were responsible for all facets of Front End development of multi-platform Phonegap-based apps, and worked closely with product, QA and the CEO in an iterative and agile process. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Scopely, where they rearchitected web-based games with modern web application best practices. From 2015 to present, they have held the roles of Lead Software & Security Engineer and Lead Software Engineer at HONK Technologies.

Blake Israel received a Master of Science in International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same institution in 2007.
