Lynn Gerein has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Lynn currently serves as the Network Director Cardiovascular Programs at HonorHealth, where they collaboratively work with cardiovascular service line and operations to enhance the quality and performance of cardiovascular surgery. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Interior Health Authority, including Cardiac Program Director, Health Services Director, Network Director Emergency and Trauma Services, Director of IH Trauma Services Network & On-Call Speciality Physician Services, Orthopedic & Neurosurgery Unit Manager, and Trauma Program Manager. In these roles, they provided strategic and operational planning, leadership, and coordination of different healthcare departments and programs.
Lynn Gerein has an extensive education history. Lynn obtained their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from The University of British Columbia in 2005. Lynn later pursued a Masters of Arts in Leadership with a Health Specialization from Royal Roads University, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Lynn also completed various certifications and programs, including LEAN Implementation Specialist Certification from Interior Health, Coaching for Engagement from Interior Health, and Building High Performing Teams from Interior Health. In addition, Lynn has participated in the Transforming LINX Leadership Program offered by Provincial Health Services Authority and the Speed of Trust Facilitator training by Stephen Covey. Lynn's nursing education began at Foothills Hospital School of Nursing, where they became a Registered Nurse in 1991. Lynn also holds an Emergency Operations Center, Level 1 Certification from Justice Institute of British Columbia. Currently, Lynn is pursuing a course on Research Methodology and Quantitative Methods from the CITI Program, set to be completed in 2023.
