Scott Collins

Scott Collins, PhD, is a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Hoofprint Biome, where responsibilities commenced in January 2023. Prior to this role, Scott Collins worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Ph.D. Candidate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University from August 2016 to August 2023, focusing on genome editing and probiotic technologies. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Engineer II at Thermo Fisher Scientific from December 2012 to July 2016, where contributions were made in biomanufacturing technology research and development, specifically in continuous protein purification and automation processes. Scott Collins holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from North Carolina State University (2016-2022) and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington (2007-2012).
