Esther Engelen

Esther Engelen is an experienced professional in sustainability and energy transition with a diverse background in managing projects and processes across various organizations. Currently serving as the Program Manager for sustainability at Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden, Esther has previously held key roles at Provincie Utrecht, Squarewise, Esther Engelen Advies, Portaal, and de Alliantie. Responsibilities have included guiding organizations towards energy transition, facilitating circular economy initiatives, and leading interdisciplinary projects aimed at making neighborhoods gas-free. Esther Engelen's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Socioeconomic History from Leiden University and additional training in management and building sciences.
