Julia Vroom

Julia Vroom is a seasoned professional in the field of water quality and coastal research, currently serving as the Senior Project Leader for Water Quality at Hoogheemraadschap van Delfland since October 2023. With over a decade of experience at Deltares, from September 2011 to September 2023, Julia held various roles including Senior Researcher/Advisor, where project management focused on fine sediment transport in estuaries and coastal regions, and Medior and Junior Researcher/Advisor positions that involved numerical modeling and data analysis. Additionally, Julia contributed as Programme Secretary at the Netherlands Centre for Coastal Research, overseeing the management of a network comprising nine universities and institutes. Academic qualifications include a Master’s in Hydraulic Engineering and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
