Nuno Lopes

Nuno Lopes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Nuno is currently serving as the Sr. Director of Cloud Services for HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) since June 2021. Prior to this role, they held various positions within the Corporate Solutions Group at HOOPP, including Director of DevOps Portfolio and Director of Cloud Program Manager. Nuno also worked as a Product Owner for IT4Enterprise from September 2017 to December 2018.

Before joining HOOPP, Nuno Lopes worked as an independent contractor, where they took on roles and responsibilities related to enterprise solutions and operations. Nuno played a key role in driving digital transformation and implementing agile management practices.

Prior to their independent contracting work, Nuno Lopes had a long tenure at IT Weapons, where they held positions including Principal Consultant and Senior Consultant. Their expertise in virtual desktop infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, virtualization and data center, and end user computing contributed to the success of numerous projects and earned their team over 30 industry awards.

Lopes also had early career experiences as an IT System Administrator at Hummingbird and Labatt Breweries of Canada in 2003 and 2002, respectively.

Nuno Lopes attended Ryerson University from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a degree in Information Technology Management with a field of study in Information Technology. In addition to their degree, they have also acquired several certifications, including Agile Methodologies - Kanban Certified Professional, Citrix Certification, Microsoft Certification, and VMware Certification.
