Melanie Laurance

Melanie Laurance is a seasoned library professional with extensive experience in various roles at Hoover Public Library, currently serving as Library Specialist since July 2022, and previously as Library Assistant and Library Page. Prior to joining the library, Melanie held the position of Administrative Assistant at Hardy Corporation, where responsibilities included preparing professional documents, managing forms and marketing materials, and maintaining a digital library. Earlier experience includes serving as Cafe Manager at Books A Million and as a Resident Assistant at the University of Montevallo. Melanie Laurance holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Montevallo.
