Gregory Travis

Gregory Travis is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in both public service and private practice. Currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at HooverSlovacek LLP since July 2016, Gregory previously held the position of Councilmember for District G on the Houston City Council from November 2015 to March 2022. Additional roles include Board Member of the Houston-Galveston Area Council from January 2016 to January 2020 and Shareholder/President at Travis Law Firm, P.C. from March 2003 to September 2016. Earlier in their career, Gregory served as Shareholder at Travis & Thompson and Of Counsel at Fouts & Moore. In addition to legal practice, Gregory contributed to education as an Instructor in Business Law at Houston Community College from 1991 to 1994. Gregory holds a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law and has a background in military training as a 2nd Lt. through the USAF Officer Training School. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Economics, and Business Administration from Westminster College.
